- President Obama signed into law the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which includes groundbreaking provisions for children in both the foster care and juvenile justice systems.
- The MacArthur Foundation has released an updated report detailing juvenile justice reforms across the country. The report indicates a growing national understanding of the link between adolescent neurological development and juvenile justice.
